The Western Cape Government is inviting unemployed South African graduates aged 20-35 to apply for the Graduate Internship Programme for 2024/2025. This Youth Development Programme offers practical work experience ranging from 3 to 24 months and is designed for South African citizens with completed certificates, diplomas, degrees, or postgraduate qualifications. It particularly benefits those who are financially constrained and lack professional networks. Key performance areas include sectors such as agriculture, police oversight, cultural affairs, economic development, and social development, aiming to enhance the marketability of participants and provide valuable references for their CVs.
Applicants without computer access can utilize local libraries, Thusong Service Centres, and internet cafés to complete their online applications. Required competencies include good communication skills in at least two official Western Cape languages, computer literacy, and planning abilities. Preference will be given to graduates from institutions in the Western Cape. The application process consists of two phases: registration and submission, with technical support available during business hours. Note that the Western Cape Government will not cover relocation or travel costs, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
